Eastern teams from the LCK and LPL have eliminated all Western representatives from the LEC and LCS during the Demacia Cup Global Invitational 2026 knockout stage in Beijing. KT Rolster and BNK FEARX advanced past Team Vitality and JD Gaming in quarterfinal best-of-fives, while Team WE defeated FlyQuest; the remaining semifinalists are exclusively LCK and LPL squads. These regions maintain deeper talent pools, stronger macro execution, and superior individual mechanics compared to Western competition, reinforced by LPL home-region advantages at the JD Esports Center venue. Trader consensus reflects this structural gap and the absence of any viable path for an LEC or LCS side to claim the title. Only an unprecedented late-stage upset or roster disruption could alter the outcome before the October 17 final.
